What is a holiday season without tasty holiday treats to go with it?! During this time of the year, I love giving out tokens of appreciation to all of our loved ones, including coworkers, teachers, and neighbors. However, this season is already busy enough without adding more to our plate, so I went searching for a quick and easy holiday treat that’s still tasty and festive! And thus, I found white chocolate and peppermint holiday pretzel rods!  Click “Jump to Recipe” above to get right on with the recipe and read on for step-by-step directions with photos!

This is such a quick and easy recipe to make those delicious holiday treats! Even better, you only need three ingredients to make these! And once you get a rhythm going, there’s nothing stopping you until you run out of pretzels or chocolates, or both. Also, don’t be like me and eat as many chocolate-covered pretzel rods as you make because you’ll never finish hehe.

Pretzel Ingredients

To crush the candy canes, I actually used a mortar and pestle (hey! I’m a pharmacist!) to get some nice large chunks and some fine candy cane dust.

I dipped about 6 pretzel rods at a time and then sprinkled the candy cane chunks on top over them all at once. Alternatively, you can lay your crushed candy canes on a separate parchment paper and roll the chocolate-covered pretzel rod in them after dipping.

Pretzel Action Shot

I used a silicone baking mat to lay my finished white chocolate and peppermint holiday pretzel rods. After about 30 minutes, the white chocolate coating was set and the rods were easily removed from the mat. I packaged them up with a nice bow and gift tag and these holiday treats were ready to go!
